MEET THE TEAM
GEORGE ANNAN
George has been a youth worker for 20 years, and has been with AYP since 2016. He loves being a part of AYP. With help from his dog Luna, he has developed strong relationships with young people, their families, and the wider community. Responsible for most aspects of running AYP, he especially enjoys the freedom that the organisation has to be creative in how they work with young people from
all backgrounds. Highlights have been the 3 trips abroad so far and he can't wait for the next one!
LOUISE LAING
Louise started out with AYP as a volunteer, and is now a very important member of the team. She works alongside George to deliver 16+ Activity Agreements, runs weekly clubs, and takes the lead on lots of creative projects. She can turn her hand to almost anything and makes sure our young people get to enjoy a huge range of activities.
RACHEL WHITEMAN
Rachel works part time with us whilst also being a brass instructor and pupil support worker. As well as helping to run our weekly programme of clubs, she takes the lead on projects such as our Young Placechangers programme, keeps on top of our accreditation, and runs our
music sessions.

RONA NICOLSON
Rona has been supporting AYP for many years and is a valued member of the team. She is a retired teacher and brings a wealth of experience to AYP. Her happy way of working with the young people makes her very popular, and the culinary creations that she produces with the groups are the stuff of legend!
